Doomed US targets China, Russia

Finian Cunningham April 24, 2014 10

Russia dropped "a bombshell" this month when it announced that it was going to conduct all its future international trade in the Russian ruble or in other national currencies. That decision by Moscow – which the Western media avoided to report – was prompted by Washington's provocative sanctions towards Russia over the Ukraine crisis.

Barack-Obama Asia tour 2014US President Barack Obama kicks off his East Asia tour this week with a threat of military aggression towards China at the same time that vice president Joe Biden was stepping up similar provocations to Russia over the Ukraine crisis.

That is because the so-called American "pivot to Asia" is intimately connected with the crisis in Ukraine and the increasing tensions between Washington and Moscow. Both cases are the result of US imperialist aggression aimed at postponing the collapse of American global hegemony. Although in the laughable way that the Western corporate media invert reality Washington's vice is turned into a virtue.

The Wall Street Journal tells us: "The US [Asian] pivot has repeatedly been thrown off-balance as Washington turned its attention to Syria, Iran, Middle East peace talks and now Ukraine."

This is a version of America being the noble "global policeman". Notice the way the WSJ implies that Washington is a benevolent force in several conflicts around the world, when in reality it is Washington that is actually the very source of conflict in every scenario cited. This is a textbook example of the Western "news media" – more accurately "brainwashing propaganda system" – at work.

The US is inflaming insecurity in Asia between China and its neighbors; it is Washington that is the chief sponsor of the covert terrorist war in Syria; Iran continues to be subjected to criminal US-led sanctions on the basis of trumped-up nuclear claims; the Middle East "peace process" in Palestine is deadlocked because the US supports the genocidal Israeli regime; and on Ukraine it was Washington's illegal coup d'état in Kiev that has pushed that country to the brink of civil war and may even ignite a global war with Russia.

When Obama touched down in Japan this week at the start of his tour of four Asian countries, including South Korea, Philippines and Malaysia, it was tellingly significant that upon his arrival in Tokyo a keynote remark was that America backs Japan in its territorial dispute with China. Obama said that military support is part of the so-called "defense pact" between the US and Japan.

How the Americans can claim to be "defending" a country that it dropped atomic bombs on defies any intelligent reasoning. That's the power of brainwashing.

Nevertheless, Obama's blatant meddling in the dispute between China and Japan was obviously a calculated provocation that will lead to more regional tensions, which in turn gives Washington further pretext to maintain tens of thousands of its troops, missiles, warplanes and warships there.

What Washington is saying to China is: your territorial claims against Japan are null and void and if you attempt to use military force in support of your grievances then the US reserves the right to launch a "defensive" war.

Never mind that the long running row between Tokyo and Beijing over the Senkaku/Diaoyu Islands is very arguably in favor of China's claims. The islands are proximate to China's southeast coast and hundreds of kilometers away from Japan. Japan continues to occupy the islands stemming from its imperialist war of aggression against China nearly seven decades ago. Also earlier this month saw the first expansion of Japanese military installations in Okinawa in more than 40 years, which signals an end to Japan's postwar pacification vows.

Considering the appalling destruction that Japan wrought on China and other Asian neighbors during its imperialist expansion, within living memory, any such moves by Tokyo are bound to cause grave alarm. Yet, Washington barges in with hobnail boots to trample all over China's sensitivities. What's more, Washington and the supine Western media invert reality again by portraying China as behaving provocatively in the region.

America's Asian pivot, which Obama launched back in 2011, is all about stoking military aggression with China under the guise of offering defense to neighboring countries – in the same way that a gangster boss sets up a protection racket.

The real purpose is to stymie China's strategic economic importance and to thwart the inexorable shift in the global economy away from Washington's hegemony. That shift spells doom for the bankrupt US dollar and its hollowed-out capitalist system.

Putin and XiWhile the conceited Western media make out that Obama is touring Asia at "an unfortunate" time of "crisis management" over Ukraine, the reality is that the two issues are deeply connected.

As former World Bank economist Peter Koenig points out it is Russia and China that are the key players in shaping the new Eurasian axis of the global economy. A significant portent of the future was given last month, when on a state visit to Germany Chinese President Xi Jinping unveiled plans to re-open the famous Silk Road – one of the world's oldest and most strategic trade routes.

Says Koenig: "China will re-open the old Silk Road as a new trading route linking Germany, Russia and China, allowing to connect and develop new markets along the road, especially in Central Asia, where this new project will bring economic and political stability."

That development will also be good news for Iran, a preview of which was the major oil deal reported earlier this month between Moscow and Tehran – much to the ire of Washington.

The tectonic movement in the global economy towards a Eurasian axis has been under way for several years and is integrated with the emergence of the so-called BRICS nations, which also include India and Brazil. This paradigm shift is also integrated with these nations extricating themselves from using the American dollar as international reserve currency.

As Koenig notes Russia dropped "a bombshell" this month when it announced that it was going to conduct all its future international trade in the Russian ruble or in other national currencies. That decision by Moscow – which the Western media avoided to report – was prompted by Washington's provocative sanctions towards Russia over the Ukraine crisis. Russia's dropping of the dollar will hasten the dynamic against the US currency.

This why China and Russia are now being targeted – almost in desperation by Washington. Their rise portends the fall of America's bankrupt empire.

While Western media launder hackneyed propaganda about Washington's selfless role as global policeman, the real story is one of a dying American hegemonic thug trying to postpone its demise – by striking out at both China and Russia even if that means igniting a catastrophic global war.

Well said Mr. Cunningham. Let's play the 'what if' game. So what if the Chinese, having grown weary of US beligerence and Obama's insipid threats, decide to arrest the man on an outstanding warrant for murder and crimes against humanity? What if the Chinese decide to intercept Air Farce One midflight twixt Nukeshima and Kuala Lumpur so's they can arrest the aforementioned war criminal upon Air Farce One's forced landing in Beijing? I'm thinking that there'd be some "grave implications" for certain. It would surely shake up the 24 hour news cycle and Wolf Blitzer just might ejaculate all over himself upon receiving his chance of a lifetime to be relevant.

    I mean, what if…

Don Nash, Most of the monkeys have families, and have to work for a living.  Who is the biggest employer in the US?  What is the biggest industry?  Who licenses all of it?

America today, has become a replica of George Orwell's Animal Farm.

It runs on… is fueled by, and greased with… Bullshit!

Locked in their barn,  fed only what the Hired Hands give them for fodder, they will never know what is actually happening out there in the barnyard of  "the real world."

All we know is that the hired hands come in every morning and shovel and sweep the ordure of the night before out into that great pile out behind the barn, spread it on the fields for fertilizer to grow new crops and then feed it back to them as nutrient.

It is obviously not what they are told what has happened… is happening!

So… let them read on… and get a slight glimpse of reality.

I hope they are prepared to handle it… what it describes and portends for America and the world is not nice to contemplate.

One missing link-during Japans invasion and bombing of China–you wouldn't guess in a million years-what country was providing the Japans invading armies–survilance of Chinese army positions, installations  ect?

USA! another was England who wanted to set a score because Chinese booted them out.

For the most part, Americans ignore and do not want to hear the truth or the facts about their own history,” American “history,” and the story of their “wars,” and invasions and whose country they have invaded and destroyed, whose people they have rendered homeless, using massive and relentless force, killing hundreds of thousands innocents and all the while justifying it with lies, provocation and deceit.

They turn from the truth, and refuse to question, look or listen.

Some question our support for Russia and China the lesser of the two evils? My response to them is: well, Russia and China are not the ones going looking for a FIGHT, IT'S THE AMERICANS.

    I quote GEORGE BERES:

IT'S SIMPLE:  WE SHOULD STOP STICKING OUR NOSE NEAR RUSSIA'S BORDERS.
NATO is a military threat to Russia, and it cannot permit NATO to move
right onto its borders. We Americans are jingoistic militarists. Sen.
McCain is our most sickening example of that.

From the comment by Debbie above….."  and it (Russia) cannot permit NATO to move
    right onto its borders"

    Well, that's not fair, Debbie.

Did we see any fuss at all when Russia commenced working on a missile base in Cuba? Hardly a whimper.

Another example of American convenient thinking.

Right now we have Obama stirinng up the top of the Pacific to prickle China, that glaringly feckless fool Biden sprouting off nonsence that a primary school child can see through (same mental age) and Doughnut Dolly Nuland is making another batch of cookies,  the last ones having cost $5.1 million.

    Situation normal.

    Oops.

Re previous comment…make that $ 5.1 BILLION. Sorry.

But, it's just money. Almost as much as they give in "AID" to Israel every year (plus, plus, plus ) together with the ownership and control of the US Congress and  McCain's Senate.

All of this article has so much in the way of interesting facts, of much great pith and moment, that no more needs to be said…..but  I am forced to mention three.

1." Nevertheless, Obama's blatant meddling in the dispute between China and Japan was obviously a calculated provocation that will lead to more regional tensions, which in turn gives Washington further pretext to maintain tens of thousands of its troops, missiles, warplanes and warships there.

    My emphasis.

Full marks to the cunning gentleman on Obama's staff who came up with this one because the current climate in Japan after 69 years of US military occupation in that country, as with Europe, find the people are tired of US arrogance and quite frankly wish them all to hell. Just look at Okinawa…..arrogant, superior attitude, rape, crimes unpunished, pollution, sexual diseases and on. A great legacy and one which really epitomises Americans wherever they go. All based on elitism. Endemic. They believe their own movies.

Now of course, this new deal is  "we will protect you, all the way the Obama way" is timely for those Japanese who are under the illusion that those Islands are of any use to them. But  they should look again. It's clearly war booty. Can you remember World War II, Nanking and on? Japan never ever owned them.

The Americans are using you for their own purposes. Standard practice.

    2. "….the major oil deal reported earlier this month between Moscow and Tehran – much to the ire of Washington."

Don't stop there, boys. Iran should urgently become a fully paid up member of BRICS. Equal partner, protected by the group, supported by the group. Give America the big finger on future sanctions. ADJUST. You don't need them and any country that has any commercial dealings with the US in the future is digging themselves a big grave for the US #1 weapon of use, sanctions. They’ll use it. It starts off with Free Trade Agreements and then they’ve got you by the vitals. Been working that way for years.

Look what sanctions did to Iraq BEFORE Operation Lying America was launched. 600,000 children alone died. Then remember the cheering Congress when the world’s #! mass murderer Bush declared war. Will anyone ever forget that scene of perfidious behaviour. Remember, please. That was 21st Century America not what is dished up to you from Zionist Hollywood.

Pull out the teeth of the US beast and don't buy anything from that source, ever again. Give them trade sanctions, in reverse. Trade among the group, same values, same dislikes…the war-making USA.

    3. "As Koenig notes Russia dropped "a bombshell" this month when it announced that it was going to conduct all its future international trade in the Russian ruble or in other national currencies

Another worthy initiative and I applaud it as does any country in the free ( from US arrogant domination) world.

They just couldn't survive such a move. A combination of yuan / euro / ruble would make it a new world in trading. Now those currencies have some real value and represent most of the world and if it is important to this picture, now probably backed by more gold reserves than the US who have seen their supplies dwindle in the face of a mounting national debt.

Almost US $ 17 trillion and if you needed another does of reality, a Federal Reserve that is made up of a collection of Jewish-owned banks with no real interest in the fate of their host country, now a shell, only just what they can squeeze out of it.

It is really a good to see itemised the failures and potential failures of the US with their current dalliances in Ukraine, (good for some more mileage, US missile bases, etc), Syria, (they seem to be tiring of that one), Iran (keeping the pot boiling for their Israeli masters) while embarking on a new program in the North Pacific and moving down to the South Pacific (hopefully all a lot more aware these days of the objectives of the US war machine). Anyone naïve as to America’s objectives, deserves to be eaten alive.

In their wake they have left Iraq, still bubbling away, Afghanistan, just about to explode, Syria, may have to concede on this one, Egypt, got another Mubarak puppet installed, and lots of military huffing an puffing around Ukraine, and on it does. Asia next.

    They must be stopped.

Sadly, we have seen it all before. In the words of that great American observer, Chalmers Johnson, this is the era of “BLOWBACK”………with a vengeance.

I believe the Western “elite” may be getting desperate, to cling to their global influence and power, since 5 of the top 10 economies in the world have dropped, or will drop the U.S. dollar. If the rest of the world (BRICS and NAM – Non-Aligned Movement Countries) abandons the IMF, and the Western "elites" (International Central Bankers) and their FRN debt-and-death paradigm – who, exactly, will then be left to subsidize these psychopathic Western "elites"? You guessed it – Euro-slaves, and Amero-slaves. Hence, the burgeoning U.S. Police State.

Mr.Putin is not butcher, the buchers are from CIA, which give weapans and money in hands of "AlKaida" or another muslim brotherhood. In Europe situation is close to war – too much out-of-employ people, economocal crisis and politics hide heads in sands of fogging promises.
