Brzezinski : Israel,‘you’re not going to be making national decision for us.’

Kevin Barrett December 2, 2012 17
Brzezinski : Israel,‘you’re not going to be making national decision for us.’

In a speech to the National Iranian American Council, Brzezinksi said:

“I don’t think there is an implicit obligation for the United States to follow like a stupid mule whatever the Israelis do. If they decide to start a war, simply on the assumption that we’ll automatically be drawn into it, I think it is the obligation of friendship to say, ‘you’re not going to be making national decisions for us.’ I think that the United States has the right to have its own national security policy.”

by Kevin Barrett

Leading U.S. strategist Zbigniew Brzezinski — unofficial dean of the realist school of American foreign policy experts — has drawn an unflattering picture of U.S.-Israel relations.

By denying any U.S. “obligation” to “follow like a stupid mule whatever the Israelis do,” Brzezinski accurately implied that this is exactly what the U.S. has been doing up until now. And by plaintively opining that “the United States has the right to have its own national security policy,” the former National Security adviser underlined the fact that since the assassination of John F. Kennedy, who secretly went to war with Ben Gurion in a doomed effort to abort the Israeli nuclear weapons program, the U.S. has not enjoyed that right.

Brzezinski’s assertion that the U.S. is being led by the nose like a stupid mule by the Israelis is perhaps the most candid statement of its kind ever uttered in public by a high-level U.S. strategist.

Brzezinski’s remarks reflect the mainstreaming of the arguments presented by leading U.S. political scientists Walt and Mearsheimer in their book The Israel Lobby.

Indeed, Brzezinski has gone much further than Walt and Mearsheimer, who couch their critique of the tail-wags-the-dog U.S.-Israel relationship in extremely cautious language.

By laying it out so explicitly, Brzezinski is in effect joining the ranks of such scholars as James Petras and Grant F Smith, who leave Walt and Mearsheimer in the dust as they boldly and accurately describe the outrageous, destructive, and quite literally criminal Israeli domination of the U.S. (As Smith argues in Foreign Agents, the hundreds of thousands of members of the Zionist Power Configuration described by Petras are acting as unregistered agents of a foreign power; if the law were properly enforced, they would all be in prison.)

The strong words from Brzezinski, and the mainstreaming of similar sentiments, illustrate a growing backlash against Israel’s ever-more-shameless, ever-more poorly concealed domination of the USA.

The post-9/11 era has witnessed a rash of unbelievably arrogant Israeli actions, including:

• Benjamin Netanyahu’s reaction to 9/11. (He triumphantly chortled that 9/11 was “very good,” then hastily added that he meant it was very good for Israel.)

• Ariel Sharon’s reaction to 9/11: “We Jews control America, and the Americans know it.”

• Allegedly retired Mossad chief spook Mike Harari’s  huge victory party in Bangkok, Thailand celebrating the success of the 9/11 operation.

• The team of “dancing Israelis,” later outed as Mossad spies by The Forward, who were arrested for wildly celebrating the success of the 9/11 operation.

• The use of organized crime assets like then-NYC Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik to cover up the 9/11 story of the century: The arrest of Israelis with vans full of explosives trying to blow up New York’s bridges and tunnels on the morning of 9/11.

• The actions of newly-retired Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak in the immediate aftermath of 9/11: Barak, Christopher Bollyn’s top 9/11 suspect, had come to the U.S. for mysterious reasons after stepping down as PM in March 2001, and immediately after 9/11 all but ordered the U.S. to declare a “war on terror” and invade Afghanistan and other countries – making him the first public figure to describe the “war on terror” response to 9/11.

• The Israel lobby’s demolition of the Congressional career of 9/11-truth-seeker Rep. Cynthia McKinney.

• The Israel lobby’s persecution of American Muslims including Sami al-Arian, who was imprisoned and tortured for the “terrorist” crime of supporting the Palestinians’ right to defend themselves.

• The Israel lobby’s persecution of Christian peacemaker Mark Siljander, who was sent to prison on trumped-up charges for the crime of telling other Christians the truth about Islam, and thereby undermining the Israelis’ islamophobic “war on terror” narrative.

• The Israel lobby’s increasing use of its organized crime assets to dominate American politics through blackmail, fraud, drug trafficking, money laundering, assassination, and other crimes.

• Israel’s assassination threats against President Obama, notably the one delivered by unregistered Israeli agent Andrew Adler.

• Israel’s blatant intervention in U.S. elections, including its use of organized crime in vote-fraud efforts – which may finally have failed in 2012 when Netanyahu imploded at the UN, and his hand-picked puppet Mitt Romney imploded in the final election results.

• Israel’s ongoing attempts to drag the U.S. into wars-for-Israel that damage U.S. interests – including wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Pakistan and elsewhere, as well as Israel’s proposed attack on Iran.

• And finally, of course, Israel’s ever-more-arrogant refusal to do what the U.S. and every other country on earth insists it must do: Return to its pre-1967 borders and make peace with its neighbors.

Will Congress approve this as the new American flag – representing

the “stupid American mule” that Israel always leads by the nose?

Credit: Veterans Today

Is the “stupid American mule” described by Brzezinski finally waking up?

Or, to use  Anatol Lieven’s animal metaphor: Is the dog finally noticing that “this is not a case of the tail wagging the dog, but of the tail wagging the unfortunate dog around the room and banging its head against the ceiling”?

For a smart guy, Zig sure thinks small: "I don’t think there is an implicit obligation for the United States to follow like a stupid mule whatever the Israelis do.

" Israel does not pull US "strings". America is not lead around by Israel – that's what the grocery clerks working the ancient divide and conquer pig in poke for the big dog nouveau gypsy-nobles breeding and feeding and conglomerating inside the houses of the War Usury Ecxhange would like us to believe. Salting the unnatural "death fear" conditioning dey been laying on us since the first parent taught their child to recite , "if i die before i wake i give my soul"… humbug! You got to keep `em seperated .. It's da Jew, its da muslim – its da republicans – it the blacks. The Usury Empire's "for faith" or "for pay" social management envoys, like our CFR fellow, the Zig, front running for the Usury folk do. In Orwells 1984 there was just one boogie ban, ole Emanuel Goldstein. These guys have taken it a step further. We get one for every new "fear xenophobe" demographic the fear theologians can muster. Robert De Niro knows the big picture .. On a recent FOX interview, the FOX gab-head, knowing De Niro's sympathies for Palestinians, attempted to bait De Niro into the mockingbird's "Israeli.Jew Hate Tribes". Unlike Zig, De Niro said it likeit is and always has been, it's not Israel, it's the War Usury. Di Niro's actual quote may have been the US. But he has probably worked the equation all the way through, and knows the same weak psychopathic genetics that are running the game in Israel are the same a-wipes doing it here in the US – and anyplace else.where people can swayed to comply for bling and morh from a to human to a consumer. Ask :Are narrow perspectives from a face on TV, who has no words regarding the mafia of money changers controlling the theaters of government in developed nations. I hope whatever is down the road for all of us don't take to long or hurt too much. Zig is a gatekeeper and dat allhe be. . themselves to be refrenced as

      @ Throb

I think you are mistaken in thinking that Israel does not control the US, although part of that control is also the military industrial you refer to – the relationship between the weapons manufacturers and Israel is a fascinating one, go figure!  The media control is another story.  More scary is the fact that they control the safety of the nuclear power plants, water, and much of the communication. I believe that they are Frankenstein's monster.  America (Frankenstein) made and empowered the monster (Israel), now it has to obey!

I think Brzezinski’s geopolitical views are generally accurate. I am aware that most do not like him very much because of his controversial past, support for the Shah long after the Revolution succeeded, etc. but his recent more sane assessments of America’s national interests are a useful corrective to the menacing militarism of the foreign policy hijacked by Zionist elites, and warmongers.

He understands that politics is about dealing with the circumstances and reality of the times.

I think B’ski is a man who has grown mature and changed with the season as he mellows and ripens with age… unlike Henry Kissinger who froze himself in a liquid nitrogen bath of Zionist cant and dogma and he has grown unflexible and impervious to change. He will not mellow and mature with age… he will simply rot from within a la Ariel Sharon!

Listen to this compelling interview. What struck me most was Brzezinski’s calm, dispassionate analysis of the global strategic dynamics in play, and especially of the Middle East. Horror of horrors (at least to AIPAC and their like), he even mentioned Israel’s nuclear capability and the fact that an Israeli attack on Iran would prompt an Iranian response against the US, for its “complicity” (his word) in any such attack. What was not in evidence was any of the emotionalism so prevalent in these sorts of discussions, just an evaluation from the perspective of US national interests — an evaluation that would send cold shudders down Israeli spines.

It is worth listening to the whole 35 min interview here:

Throb,   The Zionist international bankers control the War Usury System and have brainwashed the Americans into sending their sons and daughters to the Middle East to fight the wars for Rothschilds’ Apartheid State on the eastern end of the Mediterranean.  You are missing the point.

The Zionists that run Israel are the Zionist international bankers that control the U.S.  When Brzezinski says that the U.S. should not be following Israel around like a stupid mule, he is saying that the Zionist control of the U.S. through Israel is apparent to the public now and needs to end.   That is not to say that Brzezinski has not had a questionable past, and that is not to say that he should be followed around by a bunch of sheep.  Brzezinski was a co-founder of the Trilateral Commission which issued a report that proposed solutions for the "excess of democracy" in the 1960’s, which Chomsky described as "the ideology of the liberal wing of the state capitalist ruling elite".  Brzezinski is a member of the Zionist CFR and when speaking at a 2010 CFR meeting in Montreal said that there needed to be an international organization that was a concentrated source of power with universal reach.

Oh and that lovely Council on Foreign Relations: The Council on Foreign Relations was launched by Rothschild and Rockefeller in 1919 and founded in New York on July 29, 1921, by Ashkenazi Jews, Col. Edward Mandell House (real name: Haus–Jewish), chief adviser to President Woodrow Wilson, and Bernard Baruch in league with stockholders of the Zionist-controlled Federal Reserve Bank in order to gain control of both U.S. political parties to use them as instruments.

Today, the Council on Foreign Relations is firmly under Zionist control, and several sources say that seventy-three percent of the members of the Council on Foreign Relations are Jewish.

Hillary Clinton has said that the CFR's "advice" is given heavy consideration at the State Department.  Just one example of CFR's positions: Elliot Abrams, a Senior Fellow at CFR, wrote of their adamant opposition to UN Security General Ban Ki Moon's attendance of the Non Aligned Movement's recent meeting in Iran.

The difference is, Brzezinski is a fiercly patriotic American, as he should be, unlike the dual American-Israeli passport holders that have hijacked the USGovernment and every influential institution in America to further their own foreign policy agenda, which is not in the best interest of America.

Time to put a stop to them, list them, publish their names and faces and un-elect them, throw the bums out the  American way!  Let the cleansing begin!

If the Brez is a “fiercely patriotic American”, as you assert, then why is he accepting a paid engagement from a group whose goals are to overturn the legitimate government of Iran, at the expense of American treasure and lives, and (re)install the murderous genetics of the Shah.
      .
In 1953, Iran was the democratic “emerald of the middle east”. An American CIA sponsored coup, much like the Libyan and Syrian “genocide for freedom”, stole the “emerald” and replaced it with an absolute monarchy that black bagged Iranians tagged by the CIA front, the US embassy in Iran.
      .
Patriots know the constitution. THey know regime change is outlawed by the constitution.
      .
If Brez is all you claim, why, when Kimmit was advising Carter to authorize the failed “hostage” rescue attempt, give Carter the advice Americans needed him to give Carter?.
      .
Carter could have asked the leadership of the Iranian revolution for permission to land Air Force One in Tehran and personally negotiate the release of the hostages to his custody. Easy. No loss of life or treasure. No impetus to game the mass death of the Iran.Iraq war.
      .
What is strange, is the first gulf war, after all the death and loss of treasure Iranians and Iraq suffered from their US instigated war, Iran, allowed Iraq to stage it’s jet fighter fleet inside of Iran so it would not be destroyed by US genocide machines.

Patriotism means adhering to the principal of law without exception. The Brez took an oath to “protect and defend” the constitution. He failed that oath as a public service employee, and he ignores it as a private citizen.
      .
That group he’s talking too has the same goals as Israel – kill Iranians and install a “western friendly fascist”. Why would they even consider paying the Brez, if the Brez, is, as you say, a “fiercely patriotic American”? Fiercely patriot Americans don’t engage with groups lobbying the violation of the rule of law.

Throb,  Partly agree. Zbig was a major force behind the last non-Jewish Middle East guy on the NSC, and between them crafted the Camp David accords – not great for Palestinians, but for the US quite good. Also need to remember that the Carter years were VERY bad for a US reeling from defeat in Indochina, ripped internally by both racial and political rioting, with a military that was on the edge of disintegration. The US then held deuces and treys in its hand, was playing from a position of great weakness, and Zbig did better in those circumstances than anyone could have expected. Got to think of context.

Israel’s strings are pulled by the same puppeteers that are pulling America’s strings, the War Usury Exchange.
    .
The extent to which we allow that is a measure of how deep we go below the fear facade to understand what is really going on. It’s not Islam or Judea. Americans and Israelis have lost their voice. The media and Genocide Banks seek to divide us into little ignorant demographics based on shared fears.
    .
There is a mantra that Herbert’s Paul Maudib recites in “Dune”. The pertinent stanza in that mantra, “fear is the mind killer”, would be most helpful in these times.
    .
Don’t let fear kill your mind. That is the fascist’s goal – to divide and conquer through ignorance and conditioned hate and fear. Don’t be a victim. Be human.

"New World Order or Zionist- what's the diff?" is perhaps the prob Zbig detractors are pointing out.

While that's valid possibly let's not look a gift horse in the mouth. Zbig is no nobody, and he's getting cranky about Hebrew hegemony. That is good. And good for Kevin for writing the article.

Here's a bright side. The tone is definitely changing when it comes to Zionism and Israel's actions. People are coming out of the closet- I've heard common folk I might be afraid to broach the subject with shake their heads and speak disparagingly about 'zionists' and 'likudniks'. I spend a lot of time with my ear glued to an NPR radio and a change has happened there. More on that soon.

For the truth in all Kevin (and Zbig) have pointed out, there are other Jews who must be feeling uncomfortable with this amped-up status quo- American Jews. These are people who may well enjoy priveleged positions of status due to their ethnicity, but that doesn't mean they accept this binary control paradigm. In their hearts, they know they are not bad people and that they actually do mean well. They look at an out-of-control Israel and the ridiculously out-of-scale prominence Jews enjoy everywhere. They don't like what they see partly because they know that gentiles aren't liking the view either and that not all of them are stupid. In the Civil rights Era, help from white people was what made everything possible.

Sure, a lot of Jews in that white bunch were perhaps not there always for the best reasons- let's not get into that. But it took many white people to say that yes, they were in a superior spot because blacks were held down. And this admission was how blacks gained rights. Just like the white help for blacks, Jewish help for gentiles will also be indispensable; it already is now. I laugh about NPR as a venue where Jewish guests get interviewed by Jewish hosts- the saturation level is that egregious for anyone capable of putting two-and-two together. How often guests and hosts even forget gentiles are listening. (That kind of candid talk makes it all so worthwhile). But advocates of Zionism and Israel are getting more skeptical questions now and finding themselves in the hot seat more often. This seems to be happening at the BBC too.

None of this is some massive sea-change, yet. There is so much still to be done! Bravery is needed all around; jews too face huge criticism when they speak the truth. But if you listen closely to the radio voices you may well detect what I'm hearing; subtle changes, comments more biting and admissions more revealing. And this needs to be kept up! Just look, listen and find the courage to speak up, even if this means some highly measured words not always easily found. This is all possible. The more who stand up, the more will join.

We are seeing a definite change of attitude towards Israel and Obama is currently a prominant player.

For the US to be truely free they have to nationalise the US Fed and like JFK's executive order 11110, let Congress issue new money that represents the productivity  of the people debt free in the form of infrastructure and services.

Our Govts do not have to go into debt to private banks who just create money from nothing anyway.

I am certain that Alan Sabrosky and My Catbird Seat will not mind a re-cycling of my comment, modified from a week ago, adjusted to suit my anger following the Kevin Barrett article about Zbigniew Brzezinski .

Short, sharp and to the point, Alan: http://mycatbirdseat.com/2009/10/the-dishonest-broker-in-the-white-house/

.Alan Sabrosky stated “Obama takes the insulting rebuffs in public silence, reaffirms his support of Israel, fends off its critics, and continues to send it aid, just as if nothing had happened.

    · Can there be anything that has happened in the past ten years, no, in the history of the United States, ** that is so demeaning to the US. No one gets even the slightest bit concerned over this anymore. It’s standard fare. The norm. The people who should be angry with this humiliating situation are themselves applauding the subservient position that the US has now accepted, willingly, without a murmur.

** No, I didn’t forget the Israeli perfidy in 1967, the bombing of the USS Liberty. I am not even an American but even I cannot forget this.

Many Americans have, however. Convenient short memories.

What an absolute humbling acceptance for all Americans

How do people like Cantor, Liebeman and Schumer walk the streets? There is nothing about them that is American. No patriotism, no love of country, no respect for the flag and certainly, no honest commitment to the country in any way shape or form. They are blatant fifth columnists, foreign agents. Nothing less.

    money talks,

Obama allowed PAC’s and Super PAC’s to become an entity. On his head be it. Legislate them out of existence. Remove the users and abusers of this undemocratic swill from their positions of power, now.

    information is power,

The first Amendment states “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances”.

In this much used and abused Amendment we see the restrictions on “abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press”. No mention is made of the press abridging the freedom of speech or limiting the honesty of facts being presented to the people.

It’s called the New York Times syndrome. “Tailor the news for Zionist views”

The people are the American people for whom the Constitution was written, surely

Isn’t this a right as well? How is it that vested foreign interests can restrict the truth from reaching the people? A daily occurrence with all the once respected publications, now in the hands or effective control of foreign interests.

No original respected American who had any input to the structure of the Constitution could have forecast the spread of today’s technology, the ability for controlling ownership of the multifaceted means of communication to one and all. Now could they have even contemplated that capitalism had failings

It is not their fault. The fault is American apathy.

However, taking the dissemination of the truth as an example, now that this has degenerated into what is now 90% of the world’s media being controlled by less than 9 ownership groups, this amendment of the US Constitution has passed its use-by-date and requires an amendment to be brought into the 21st Century. The 18th Century was a very long time ago. A different world, threatened then perhaps by outside empires ………but not from within, as it is in 2012.

    How about this………

    1. No one person or group can own more than 5% of any media operation in the US. That shareholding cannot be expanded under any circumstances.

    2. Media must print the whole truth and should be seriously penalized for showing bias. They are a protected under the Constitution.

The people should also be protected under the same Amendment, surely.

It must be a two way street. As I have said, don’t blame your foundling fathers. They would never imagined that a harmless little religion, because that’s what it was, the Jews of the world, would turn into evil Zionists and insidiously try to control their new country, the then young USA over the next 200 years What gratitude they have displayed in response to their never-ending ‘holocaust’ guilt trip, now a holocaust sideshow. Don’t they know they have squeezed all the blood out of the world they are ever going to get? Sympathy has turned into disgust at their motives. As for their treatment of Palestine, another day, a crime against humanity.

Suffice to say, Israel has now become now the latter day Third Reich.

If there was a person like McCarthy in 2012, as in the 1950’s, he would be overworked if he investigated this Congress of the US for loyalty. Communism? What a waste of effort that was, as harmless as a flea bite compared to Zionism, running rampant.

In every corner of your country. Corrupting.

    policy is people

How can it be so. How can we see key positions held in an US administration, many of whom would not survive a test of loyalty to the US people. From there we have seen elected politicians, themselves corrupted beyond measure by Israel, appoint Zionists to staff positions until all levels of government are fully penetrated, against the national interest. The voters? Who really cares? The Zionists have them covered. Law enforcement? They are there as well.

The example of Rahm Emanuel mentioned in the article as Chief of Staff is a classic case. Israel service, but no American service of any type. Now recycled into the system as Mayor of Chicago. One should not forget that he was appointed by Obama as was Zionist fellow-traveler, Clinton. Neither should have been appointed at all. This new President came into office four years ago with so much corrupt baggage of his own making.

He made those decisions OR he is under the threat of assassination. You decide

    Here we go again…..

Remove from office the current occupiers of key roles in the administration. Do not appoint Israelis, dual passported ‘Americans’, fellow-travelers, sycophants and anyone who has attended the well orchestrated ‘brain washing’ sessions in Israel. Having seen this list over recent years, this could eliminate everyone above the rank of Lieut. Colonel in all the services and certainly 80% of the Congress and a large proportion of the Senate.

It is almost unbelievable. But it is a fact. It is not fiction.

Right now, without addressing these points, there is no road forward. None.

We all suffer from the Usury’s institutional tribal conditioning prgrams. We can win without a fight. Our numbers relative to the puppeteers makes them more a mote in god’s eye than something to fear.

    Do elephants fear gnats?
Do Americans really fear box cutters to the extent they would prefer being vaporized in a hit impact flash. to suffering any scratch some wimp with a wimp-ass boxcutter might inflict had they chose to live instead?
    .
    Is that air your breathing?
    .
A little country like Israel can pull a super power’s strings? Really?
    .
In the pig picture, and in “marketing” terms, Israel is a so called “loss leader”. Loss leaders are hight demand items that the seller will sell at or blow cost (loss), to seduce bargain shoppers into buying the other “over priced” items on the seller’s shelves.
    .
Sorry to say to those who need something easily defined to blame it all on – the reason you do that is because you are part of that demographic by design.
    .
Israel’s machinations of Israel’s alleged government are scripted by the same global cartel that scripts the machinations of other so called western sovereigns, including the US, that it has dominion over. Period.
    .
To Blame Israel or any other sovereign one might choose is a conditioned response that gives cover to, and protects, the cartel playing humanity as though lives were pastel colored paper notes to be lost sold or burned for gain.
    ,
The best description of the cartel’s ascension is Benjamin Freedman’s speech at SweertLiberty dot org. In just months, before the US entered WWI, the cartel, aka London’s Shadow Banks, managed to get the UK to refuse a surrender to, induce Wilson to authorize the IRS, the Federal Reserve and not only get the US to finance it, but to fight as well.
    .
It’s a multi-generational racket run by the descendants of east European gypsies, and now enjoined by a whole host of profit sharing types, like elected officials, genocide industry contractors – will to kill or have someone you know killed for mostly faith and chump change for pay, juz soze dey can one-up the other self anoints they’re playing on a global monopoly board where we, yep that’s right, you and me and we are toy money.
    .
Get beyond small change blame game and see the beast for what it is. It is our apathy – easier to be entertained than use critical easier to fear than assert a god given franchise. Easier to adopt an off the shelf pre-canned stereotypical belief structure than it is to follow the common sense congenial hardwired objectivity and survival that makes us human,
    .
We unite – we sneeze and the facade will crumble before our eyes. There is a better way. It will not hurt. And that path intends no pain. Get informed. Contrasting differences is not analytical. Understanding similarities is analytical.
    .
Ya take the blue bill pal, and you just go in de circle again and again confronted by this – how to preserve the commons’ assets – assure private debt is private debt – Iceland – your neighbors – provisional gov(?) are pretty important matters – the Usury Mob infests every aspect of our shared humanity. So get over it and think!

What I'm reading here is the same old record, it hasn't changed in yrs and will not for a great deal of time.  israel objectives has for decades been backed by powerful lobbies (aipac) and partizans with the help of the 3 U's ( US,UK &UK). Thanks to them today israel has managed to swallow an almost entire part of Palestine. Why do you think israel can shrug off all the threats made lately by some of the leading countries, it's because those threats comes from it's 'allies' and bares not weight, it will feather away 2morrow and israel will resume its usual business of snatching more lands from Palestine. It took yrs for the world to sanctions the Apartheid south africa and it'll take forever to bring israel to its senses, there are a lot of powerful figures out there in the political arena who can confront israel but won't they have already been pocketed and those who oppose israel's mad ideas are to comfortable and far too cowardly to gather as a force in order to kick israel back into its place. israel own stake in the US senate, congress and the UK parliament and their politicians. Otherwise how does explain their actions without retributions.
