EDITOR’S NOTE: Grant F. Smith describes the absolute power of the Israel Lobby in the U.S. and enumerates some of the many ways in which Israel acts as an adversary to the U.S. He says, “Israel is used to reaching into its lobbying organizations in the United States and having a direct hand in moving resources and animating and agitating.” “AIPAC should be registered as a foreign agent. AIPAC is completely anti-democratic.” “Israel is the nuclear hegemon in the region.”
Stephen Zunes claims that because AIPAC is politically to the right of most American Jews and because the U.S. supports dictatorships in other parts of the world that proves that the Israel Lobby is not powerful in effecting U.S. foreign policy for the Middle East though he admits to much joint activity between the Mossad and the CIA and that the military/industrial complexes of the two countries are closely intertwined.
American Jew and true believer in the Zionist lies, Ruthie Blum, says, “ I think that he (Netanyahu) hasn’t stepped over any lines in meddling in American politics, I think that what he is doing is trying to protect Israel…” As though trying to protect Israel means that any line can be crossed.
The other participants completely disagree with her as it clearly does not bear out in reality.
How much of a hand does the Israel lobby really have in the US presidential campaign?
