Catherine Faber is from the Midwest. She has been singing and playing guitar since the age of 14. She attended a local college, and worked in the medical field for several years, while playing in a part-time band. She and her husband, who is a talented singer, bass player, and keyboardist, then worked professionally full-time with their band over much of the US . Years ago, she met one of the USS Liberty survivors that heard her sing, and he asked her if she could write a couple of songs for a Liberty forum and for a movie that was possibly going to be made.
She says "I want to help the Liberty survivors to be able to get their word out about what really happened on that dreadful day, June 8, 1967". She was asked to put the songs on the web, and they are now on numerous sites around the world.

that the alarms didn’t go off back then is still a source of wonderment to me. Bibi brags in Congress a few weeks ago that Israel is America’s “best friend” in the Middle East. Yet, thirty years ago , America had no enemies in the ME. With friends like Bibi, who needs enemies?

Second, I present below excerpts from an email from Dr. Alan Sabrosky on his return from a Presentation in New York:
Putting ideas into Action
“I was invited by the senior pastor of a large evangelical church in PA (an Assemblies of God congregation, same one as Sarah Palin’s) to address the pastors and lay leaders of the church on 9/11 (he also invited a couple of other local pastors, also evangelicals but different denomination). This matters, because as I learned (some of you might already know this), aside from a belief in “rapture,” they are also committed to both American exceptional-ism and Israeli exceptional-ism, and the latter sets them apart from most other US Christians (e.g., Catholics). The invitation came out of the blue, the senior pastor had himself had doubts of the government story about 9/11, had read some of my work, and made the invitation.
“So I went to the church and gave them (in this sequence) part of my slideshow (parts dealing with the USS Liberty incident and the 9/11 material, then the Jowenko video on WTC7, then about 4 minutes of the “Sounds on the Ground” video (parts on secondary explosions at the base of the twin towers, media reports of same, etc.), then wrapped it up discussing role of people in place, the motivation-expertise-access combo, and the implications thereof. Oh, yes: I began with a brief indirect overview of me, pointing out that when the USS Liberty incident occurred, I was in Vietnam with the Marines, which also got their attention.
“By the end of the presentation (about 50 minutes, including the slideshow & the two videos) and nearly two hours of Q&A, certain themes became apparent (and my wife, who was present, picked up on them faster than me). One was that “things military” mattered more for me than “things academic” insofar as my credibility was concerned – i.e., service in the Marines in Vietnam and later the Army War College meant more than a Michigan PhD and teaching at Georgetown – yet another reason to have our outreach made by, or include (more on this distinction later), a veteran, no matter what the audience.
“Another is that I have been wrong when I have dismissed the USS Liberty incident as too many years in the past to matter. The audience was literally riveted by the incident itself (none had ever heard or read of it before, and all were educated people), by the visible contrast between the US & Egyptian ships, by the photographic evidence of the ship’s identity before and after the attack, and the recall of US fighters twice. So when I rework future presentation, I am going to include more material on this incident, and if possible a few minutes of a video on it (maybe the BBC documentary?
“A third is that at the end, everyone present was outraged by the USS Liberty incident (more because of what the US Government had done than because of what Israel had done), all but one present believed that the official US Government version of 9/11 is either incomplete or an outright lie, BUT barely half accepted Israel’s role in it (and this is because of their commitment to Israeli exceptional-ism – one woman asked how they could continue end their services with a prayer for Israel if it had done that, so she would not accept Israel’s complicity or guilt for 9/11 rather than reject the doctrine of her church).”
I am a survivor of the attack on the USS LIberty. I have made several efforts to tell the story of the Liberty in different churches in my home town. Telling this story in a church setting back in the early seventies was a receipe for disaster as I soon found out after relating the story to some of the congregation. In my last church I was on the worship team and one night related the Liberty attack story to some of the people who were on the team with me. Within a few weeks I was no longer invited to practice on Wednesday nights, and things changed rapidly for me. I admire the professor for his success in telling this story, and not getting thrown out on his ear. I was not thrown out but made to feel very uncomfortable and even the pastor said I had to be dreaming. I tell the story in such a way as to make the congregation aware that the IDF attacked us with every possible weapon at their disposal, and we had nothing but four fifty caliber machine guns and a few M1′s and pistols. They had plenty of time to accomplish their task and they couldn’t get the job done, even with the help on the way being called back they still couldn’t put the Liberty to the bottom. My question is this: “Where was God that day”?
I know exactly where he was!
