By Dr. Alan Sabrosky* for My Catbird Seat

As the US edges toward an unprovoked and utterly needless war with Iran, some remarks by an eminent and experienced observer of that part of the world caught my attention. First, he noted that  “Israel and the US realize that the next war will burn much of the Middle East and may well spell the end of Israel.”

Now, Israel certainly believes that about the Middle East, and in fact hopes it happens, because that just makes its position stronger. But neither Israel nor the US — at least at a governmental level — accept the second part of the proposition, just the opposite, that in fact it will be the saving of Israel — because (as I’ve noted elsewhere) if the regional chaos is great enough, Israel will take the opportunity to ethnically cleanse all Palestinians (and probably Israeli Arabs as well) from “Greater Israel” by shoving them over its borders, into Jordan and the Sinai (and some into the Lebanon as well). That will leave it intact and Jewish, its neighbors overwhelmed by a few million destitute Palestinians — a 2nd and even worse Nakba — and everyone else in ruins or teetering on the edge. Netanyahu, Barak, Lieberman and their merry thugs won’t shed a tear or lose a second’s sleep over any of it, much less over the many Americans who will die in yet another of America’s Jewish Wars.

Second, he remarked that Every week Israel becomes weaker vis a vis the “resistance axis” and at what point does Israel decide to bring down the house and start again if it can survive with enough military power (backed by the US) to remake the region.”

But I simply don’t see Israel getting weaker, just more beleaguered, which is not the same thing. We need to keep in mind that Israel defines its usable power (and therefore its security) not only in terms of what it has, but also what it can command from its “most favored goyim” in the US — and that, now, is virtually everything. We know about Israel’s control of the Congress and the media, and I think people on our side generally understand about their control of political appointments that absolutely keep opponents of Israel out of office – the Chas Freeman incident ought to have been telling. The American public, unfortunately, is almost absolutely clueless about the whole enterprise, thanks to the prevailing dominant theme they get from the President, national politicians, the press and mostly the Protestant pulpit.

Yet it goes beyond that. The fate of White House correspondent Helen Thomas and 20-year CNN editor Octavia Nasr has sent a signal to absolutely every journalist in the print and electronic media that any attempt to cross even slightly Israel’s line (which is what Nasr did), much less question Israel’s basic premise (as Thomas did), means total and almost instantaneous professional ruin. If senior people like them can be chopped in hours, what chance does a rising younger journalist have? None at all. This is along the lines of the old French saying (I translate roughly), “Shoot a few to encourage the others,” in this case encourage them to behave or at least to keep silent and not misbehave (as AIPAC and company define misbehavior). So the American public will continue to hear, see and read just what Israel wants, barring a small if growing number who do get at least some of their news from the internet.

Sadly, it is mostly the same for the US military now as well. The sequential sacking on overlapping grounds of Admiral William Fallon, Admiral (ret.) Dennis Blair and General Stanley McChrystal (and the concurrent enhancement of Admiral Michael Mullen and General David Petraeus) has sent the same signal to the professional military, and not just the generals and admirals. Question official policy (Fallon), do not conform to Administration (i.e., Israeli) priorities (Blair and Fallon), or speak openly (however unwisely) what almost all professional military here feel about this hapless commander-in-chief and his Zionist amateurs in the White House (McChrystal), and your careers are done, no matter how distinguished they might have been. So behave — and almost all will, knowing absolutely now that they’ll have no effective support from the generals and admirals if they don’t.

Besides, putting lots of discrete pieces together, including published information on Israeli penetration of the telecommunications security and cybernetic systems in the US since the ’70s and ’80s, the movement of Israelis (with or without dual nationality) or American Jews serving Israel across the US and Israeli governments and lobbies like AIPAC, and the presence of Israelis (again with or without dual nationality) and American Jews serving Israel throughout the US national security apparatus for decades (remember the far-from-unique stories of Lani Kass or David Wurmser, much less the likes of “Scooter” Libby or Rahm Emanuel?), one thing seems painfully clear to me. This is that Israel has had ongoing access for decades to US nuclear codes and systems, and may well be able to override safeguards here to obtain command and control (and therefore targeting and launch capabilities) over at least US land-based strategic nuclear systems.

Think about it. With those technical means, oversight of security and especially in-place human assets, Israel would have had to make a deliberate decision NOT to acquire that access and obtain those capabilities in order not to have them now, and that flies in the face of everything else Israel has done in its national security and espionage fields. That may be the club Israel holds over US presidents, and it would certainly explain a host of otherwise inexplicable actions by them. Understanding the actual dynamics of this phenomenon and how to counter them must have the highest priority.

  1. Something more pervasive than the pending war in Iran is happening, Dr. Sabrosky on the 10. Aug, 2010 remarked #

Something far more pervasive and nasty is going on in the run-up to the new war in Iran.

The blogosphere is dying. It used to be a viable, if not a bit coarse around the edges, method of debunking the bullshit and lies of the MSM and the illegitimate government and it’s shills.

But now, the blogs delete posts. If you hammer on your fellow countrymen and women for being ignorant dufus’ and asswipes, they’ll delete your post (this blog included).

So, once the Iran war gets underway, it’s no secret the internet will be severely hobbled or truncated to uselessness, but the ‘irony’ if the word can be applied, is that, in it’s own right, it’s censoring itself into IRRELEVANCE. That’s right. Mr. Sabrosky, you write well as do others at Catbirdseat, but your blog censors the crap out of what we write and express and if the view doesn’t coincide with the person on that end, it won’t air.

So, my internet subscription will likely either be ‘cancelled’ at the end of August, or used solely for e-mail traffic till they take that away. I won’t bother with blogs as they’re losing their teeth and their efficacy toward the end of being a last resort method of airing things out that have to be aired out.

The Iranian war as ugly as that will be, will pale in comparison to the last bastion of discourse and discussion, being rendered both lame and useless.

I wish all of you well as you pussyfoot around the edges here, but what you have become is something reprehensible to me. When a person has to silence themselves due to non popularity of a particular sore point or issue, that’s the end of legitimate discourse and honesty.

You might as well join WikiLeaks and Asshanger and post the; “no bad words or negative comments” in here warning to all who visit.

It surely won’t be me visiting, I’ve had enough of the censorship.

If Israel has access for decades on the nuclear launch codes, why does not the US Military take control and change them?

Is the US Military so infiltrated by Israeli intelligence that it cannot break it’s grasp?

Israel is pushing for war on many fronts because globally, people are realising the 911 was a false flag event. So Israel and the USA neo-cons see war as an escape. They will push the nuclear button, since facing justice for their crimes is a fate worse than death.

How do we argue with psychopathic power hungry, treacherous liars, who have lost all notions of integrity and self respect? It seems that the state of Israel is expendible while the real power brokers can disappear into the ether. They don’t even have an allegiance to their own people let alone US citizens.

Do we offer them a way out of the madness to stop a major conflict?

Quite an interesting point. It looks like a lot of clouds gathering on the horizon.

I just pray that we are wrong.

I rather doubt that there would be much left for anyone to add to their empire. Miles of ruins and deserts, glazed by nuclear fires do not make for very useful Imperial digs.

It’s true about the Israeli penetration of the telecoms.
Look up Verint technologies and Comverse infosys, they are Israeli companies that handle almost all billing for all phones in the US.
Senators,FBI agents, their wives, their secret lovers, judges, all politicians, cops, you name it are all open to serious blackmale by this perfidious tribe.

Given Israel’s technical skills and access to sensitive communications and security networks linking effectively all our institutions and the military, the possibility Israel has a ‘back door’ capability giving it control over our land based ballistic missiles, should be taken seriously. We have all known for some time now, the US Military acts as though it is operating under the control of a foreign power. Indeed!

It’s not ‘just’ Israel; it’s not ‘just’ zionists and it’s not just those old wretches who could still be termed ‘nazi’.

It is all of them combined under the ‘central authority’ of the millennia old 13 bloodlines. They fight amongst themselves indeed but their primary aim has never waivered – total control of humanity, resources & now, our souls. They care nothing but that which gives them power; their pleasure has devolved to parasitic blood lust. They are degenerate, psychotic and yes, very scared.

That makes them at their most dangerous, now. It also puts the onus on good people everywhere to counter their evil by attaining the knowledge necessary to identify and withstand them.

It’s either that or a dystopian world of base survival amidst the radioactive ruins of all that was beautiful in humanity.

    Your choice.

It’s important to remember that majorities are not needed–just a determined minority. “A natural aristocracy”, as Edmund Burke put it. That is the way of the world.

One way to short circuit the criminals is through a revitalized “States Rights” movement as in the 10th amendment. How ’bout no tax money to Washington–keep it at home (i.e., the State’s).

It’s quite sad to see the military just quit in the face of “enemies domestic”. Have they no shame? Have they no self-respect? Or as someone once said, is the price of peace to be purchase with chains on our feet?

The silver lining in all this treachery is that the enemy is no longer hiding behind white papers, but raising it’s ugly face above the surface for many to see. It’s up to us to launch a political offensive before they consolidate power. It’s 1917-1920 Russia. They are now at their most vulnerable.

The term ‘Samson Option’ created in the 1960s – applies to Zionist regime’s strategy of massive nuclear retaliation against its real or perceived enemies, whom it consider to be threat to its existence as ruler of Palestine and the sole representative of the world Jewish population. Like the name of the entity (Israel), this term is inspired by the Biblical story of Samson, who destroyed the Philistine temple in a suicide mission, killing himself and thousands of Philistine enemies.

The Zionist entity’s secret plan to destroy the Islamic regime in Tehran politically and militarily is not something new – it has existed since 1980s – with the help of its Western allies (ZOGs) or strike first alone and then drag its allies into the war against Iran. Israeli historian and author, Professor Israel Shahak in his book ‘Open Secrets’, Chapter 4, wrote in February 1993: “Since the spring of 1992 public opinion in Israel is being prepared for the prospect of a war with Iran, to be fought to bring about Iran’s total military and political defeat. In one version, Israel would attack Iran alone, in another it would `persuade’ the West to do the job. The indoctrination campaign to this effect is gaining in intensity. It is accompanied by what could be called semi-official horror scenarios purporting to detail what Iran could do to Israel, the West and the entire world when it acquires nuclear weapons as it is expected to a few years hence.

This secret plan was implemented by the Zionist entity in Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen to lure Islamic Republic into a military confrontation with the US. Most of Israel’s military conflict with its neighbors are not they threaten it but to demonize Islamic Republic as a supporter of the so-called ‘terrorist groups’. Invasions of Lebanon (2006), Gaza (Dec. 2008) and murders at international waters (Free Gaza flotilla) were all covert operations against Tehran.

On June 3, 2010 – When Benjamin Netanyahu said that “Israel will not allow an Iranian port in Gaza” – he was echoing earlier statement made by Gen. Moshe Dyan: “Iran will not be allowed to have a nuclear bomb”.

As a Palestinian refugee, born in Lebanon,in 1950, after a parents were forced to leave our home in Haifa, I totally agree with Alan’s assessment of this grave situation in the Middle East,I have blogged on this subject many a time. It seems that controlling the Media outlets and what is being reported or actually misreported is greatly influencing public opinion and behavior towards foreign policy. It is very puzzling to me, with all the information and report of the massive corruption and blackmail in congress by AIPAC and company, were is the outrage. American public should be furious and foaming at the mouth at what is going on. Supporting Israeli policies vis a vis the Arab world and Islamic world has and will take US down hill fast. there are 22 Arab countries that can and will be America’s friend but US has chose to have Israel as a friend instead,as the saying goes misery loves company…..

Given the current reality with lunatic neo-cons been caught in their own trap of deception, how must Russian and China be viewing the current situation?

Iran is the line in the sand for China, since 10% of China’s energy comes from there. If the neo-cons take Iran, then what next?.

This is not just a matter of who’ll blink first. The Neo-cons will use their psychotic dysfunctional attention seeking behaviour to bluff both China and Russia into submission.Very few want to argue with lunatics.

So the psychology from the neo-con view will be stark ravingly mad and totally unpredictable in order to subvert any real resistance to their intent.

The question is;Are they as insane as they’d want us to believe? Many of them have yet to experience real hardship and pain in their rarified atmosphere of arrogance and opulance.

The sweat bubbles of panic must be welling on their foreheads.

Those in the US Military who love freedom and integrity, need to crank up the pressure.

Norman Finkelstein said something fascinating in a Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RyDrP2EsYGo&feature=related about a comment initially made in an interview about Lebanon; namely, Finkelstein said “Israel needs to suffer a major defeat.”

Finkelstein explains that “Israel needs to suffer just like Germany…in World War II. . .to shake it up. . .Israel is behaving like a marauding state. . . Israel has become a lunatic state. . . it’s lunacy is going to lead inexorably to its destruction . . .

“The best thing that happened to Germany was the defeat it suffered in 1945; it became a moral country. Germany is the most morally conscious of the European states. . . that defeat shook up the society.”

Think about that statement in terms of Goldhagen’s thesis, that the German people were possessed of an inherently evil streak that caused them to kill Jews.

Now consider the timeline: zionism pre-existed Nazism by about 30 years. Zionism came before Nazism.

Nazism was a nationalist movement of the German people to reclaim their homeland for the Germans, to be governed by Germans, to reflect German cultural values.

The war waged by Germany was to reclaim its national heritage.

After its defeat in 1945, as Finkelstein said, “Germany became a moral country.”

So the question is, Did Germany lose the war, ie. did it fail in its objective, or did Germany win the war — it achieved its objective of regaining its national moral character?

If the latter, then what does that mean for the United States? US ‘won’ World War II, and since then has behaved with unbridled hubris and militarism and burst the bonds of its moral value system. Since its victory in World War II, US has expanded its military to heights that could not have been imagined in 1942. Today, an American soldier can sit in the desert in Nevada and kill people he doesn’t even see, in Afghanistan.
Would this meet the value criterion of Bill Clinton’s oft-quoted phrase, “to form a more perfect union?”

If not, what must America do to get “shaken up,” to become the moral state we liked to think we were?

And one final question: what element was removed from Germany that resulted in Germany becoming a moral nation, and what element is, today, present in the US that makes it an immoral nation?

    W.B Yeats

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
    The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
    Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
    The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
    Are full of passionate intensity.
    Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in the sands of the desert.

A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

There is one way to stop the insanity.Bunker busting technology is now very advanced.

There are very few neo-cons involved in this madness, however they have over the decades built nuclear shelters in Europe, probably in the USA and else where.

To stop a world conflagration, we remove from them their last line of hope,ie the security of their nuke shelters.

A nuke behind a bunker buster bomb has serious penetrating powers.

So all China and Russia have to do to protect themselves is to target the real enemy, who in reality have numbers that are insignificant. They know where to find them.

China,Russia and the US Military do not have to target our major cities, just target the lunatics.

There are various levels of neo-con sociopathic disorder. Some who have a Hitler insecurity complex are lower down the food chain and will push the nuke button regardless, but those at the top who cultivated these nutters are used to the good life.

They have lived the rarified of existance of power without responsibility. They have yet to realise the consequences of their actions. They are the achilles heel of their own New World Order.

When the really big rats realise that they have no where to hide, sanity will prevail.
