All poetry is an investigation or an inquiry, and the best evokes or reminds. It prods the soul, and the awareness of humanity and God which resides therein. The harder the probe, the better, more effective the poetry.
But, one must have access to one’s soul and that which resides within to appreciate the power of poetry. Some call it “God Awareness,” “self-awareness,” “the Universal Spirit,” or something of that nature… but by whatever name it must be accessible.
